OUR ACTIVITIES:

Several elements are needed to accomplish our mission. The most important key is engaging in activities that advance and maintain the team's world-class level of skill. World class skill is achieved through two types of activities. First, we must train frequently and receive the best coaching. Accomplishing this activity requires working with world-wide partners who are committed to working together to advance their skills.  This world network of partners allows us access to the best coaches in the world and the fastest teams as training partners. Such collaborative training requires us to travel to different locations around the world to train and compete.

A second element is to compete against the world's best sailors. Doing so requires traveling to numerous events in North America, Europe,. and Asia since the olympics will be in that location for 2008. To hone our skills, the team utilizes two types of boats for training and competition, the Olympic Tornado catamaran and the F-18 catamaran. As many top Tornado teams have found, sailing the F-18 catamaran increases the opportunity to practice in large fleets, particularily in the US, since large fleet racing with top level sailors does not exist within the US Tornado class.
